American Heart Association: AHA Rapid Response Grant

LifeArc: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Therapeutics

LifeArc has made available an initial £10M for the identification of therapeutics that can be rapidly deployed to treat COVID-19. The aim is to run trials in patients during the current epidemic. It is anticipated that applications will be for funding to repurpose one or more drugs that are generic, already licensed, or are in late stage development for another indication.
Tegan and Sara Foundation: Community Grants

Committed to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community, especially as current times have left queer people uniquely disadvantaged. Rodenberry Foundation: Rodenberry Prize

MIT Solve: Health Security & Pandemics Challenge

MIT Solve is seeking tech innovations that can slow and track the spread of an emerging outbreak, for example by improving individual hygiene, developing low-cost rapid diagnostics, analyzing data that informs decision making, and providing tools that protect health workers. Solve is also seeking solutions that focus on preventative and mitigation measures that strengthen access to affordable primary healthcare systems, enhance disease surveillance systems, and improve healthcare supply chains.
Facebook Journalism Project

British Business Bank: Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme

Provides financial support to smaller businesses (SMEs) across the UK that are losing revenue, and seeing their cashflow disrupted, as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Mozilla Open Source Support Program (MOSS): COVID-19 Solutions Fund
Geographic Scope: Global
Provides awards of up to $50,000 each to open source technology projects which are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in some way. Applications will be accepted for hardware (e.g., an open source ventilator), software (e.g., a platform that connects hospitals with people who have 3D printers who can print parts for that open source ventilator), as well as software that solves for secondary effects of COVID-19 (e.g., a browser plugin that combats COVID related misinformation).
National Geographic: COVID-19 Emergency Fund for Journalists

Emergency fund for journalists all over the world who wish to cover COVID-19 within their own communities. The Fund will distribute support ranging from $1,000 to $8,000 for local coverage of the preparation, response, and impact of this global pandemic as seen through evidence-based reporting. Eligible applicants include writers, photographers, videographers, audio journalists, cartographers, filmmakers, and data visualization experts.
Peace First: COVID-19 Rapid Response Grants

Rapid response coaching and grant process to help young people around the world lead projects that address community impacts of COVID-19, from providing meals to elderly neighbors to launching digital mental health campaigns to support youth feeling isolated. Rapid response grants are open to young people between the ages of 13-25 globally.
Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting: Coronavirus News Collaboration Challenge

Seeking proposals that develop innovative approaches to reporting on the novel coronavirus crisis using collaboration among journalists and newsrooms across state lines or national borders. Priority is given to proposals that focus on systemic, under-reported issues underlying the coronavirus crisis; use data-driven or interdisciplinary approaches to reporting on coronavirus; and hold the powerful accountable. This opportunity is open to all newsrooms and independent journalists in the United States and abroad.
Soze Foundation: Artist + Activist Relief Fund

Sweet Relief Musicians Fund: COVID-19 Fund

Supports musicians and music industry workers affected by the Coronavirus. Funds raised will go towards medical expenses, lodging, clothing, food and other vital living expenses to those impacted due to sickness or loss of work. Except for retired or semi-retired older (ages 55+) musicians or industry workers, the applicant must have, or recently have had, a serious medical condition.
Vancouver Foundation: Community Response Fund

Will provide flexible operating grants to charities in regions most immediately impacted by COVID-19 that work to address the following priority areas: immediate needs of low-income populations, the economic impact of reduced and lost work within the charitable sector, the information needs of vulnerable community members, and mobilizing citizens to assist their vulnerable neighbors with the challenges they are facing from isolation.

Equal Sound Corona Relief Fund

Provides direct financial assistance to musicians in the U.S. who have lost work as a result of Corona-related event cancellations up to $500 per gig.
Freelancers Union: Freelancers Relief Fund

Will offer financial assistance of up to $1,000 per freelance household in the U.S. to cover lost income and essential expenses not covered by government relief programs, including food or food supplies, utility payments, and cash assistance to cover income loss. (Applications will open on April 2, 2020.)
MusiCares: COVID-19 Relief Fund

Expanded services to include lost income due to the cancellation of scheduled gigs or performances due to Coronavirus/COVID-19 precautionary measures. Music industry professionals may apply for basic living assistance (rent or mortgage).
National Science Foundation: Rapid Response Research (RAPID)
Geographic Scope: United States
Accepting proposals to conduct non-medical, non-clinical-care research that can be used immediately to explore how to model and understand the spread of COVID-19, to inform and educate about the science of virus transmission and prevention, and to encourage the development of processes and actions to address this global challenge. Researchers may use the Rapid Response Research (RAPID) funding mechanism to submit requests up to $200,000 and up to one year in duration.

Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation: COVID-19 Emergency Grant

Aims to assist individuals who work in theatrical exhibition. In order to be eligible, individuals must have worked in theatrical exhibition for a minimum of five years, derive their primary source of income from the movie theater circuit, and have been furloughed or laid off.

Allegany Franciscan Ministries: Coronavirus Relief and Recovery Fund
Geographic Scope: Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie, FL
Provides support to nonprofit organizations providing services to Palm Beach, Martin County, and St. Lucie county residents. Funding priorities include: emergency food, shelter, and other basic needs; expansion of service capacity related to increased demand for direct services; access to healthcare services for uninsured and underinsured clients; and technology and other resources to allow an organization to continue to provide services.
Amarillo Area Foundation and The Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation: Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund
Geographic Scope: The Texas Panhandle
Emergency grants will be funded through the AAF Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund for requests that will meet critical needs. Funding priorities at this time are programs providing food for high-risk populations, direct healthcare services, programs providing childcare for essential workers, and programs designed to diminish the risk of exposure to the virus.
Amazon: Small Business Relief Fund

Ams to help neighborhood small businesses maintain their livelihood, and continue to foster a vibrant community. To be eligible for a grant, recipients must have fewer than 50 employees or less than $7 million in annual revenue.
Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation: Short-Term Cash Flow Program
Geographic Scope: Ann Arbor area, Michigan
Makes short-term (up to 180 days) cash flow loans of $5,000 - $50,000. This program has been initiated as part of AAACF’s philanthropic response to the COVID-19 health pandemic and economic crisis and complements AAACF’s grantmaking to support COVID-19 response, relief, and recovery efforts.
Arizona Community Foundation: COVID-19 Community Response Fund
Geographic Scope: Arizona
Provides immediate relief to nonprofit organizations in Arizona facing an increased demand for services from clients and communities as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Once the state of emergency has expired, any remaining funds will support nonprofit organizations impacted by COVID-19 financially as a result of program disruptions or cancellations resulting in revenue loss.

Provides rapid response grants supporting critical needs of artists in Washington State whose livelihoods are impacted by COVID-19.
Arts Council of Greater New Haven: New Haven Creative Sector Relief Fund
Geographic Scope: New Haven, CT
Will distribute immediate financial assistance to individual creatives and arts institutions most impacted by the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). Applicants can apply on a rolling basis to receive up to $1,000 based on their financial situation, with a priority for low-income individuals and small-budget arts organizations.
Berrien Community Foundation: Emergency Response and Recovery Grant
Geographic Scope: Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties, MI
Support for organizations that are serving those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Grants will focus on those programs doing emergency relief, such as food pantries, child and baby needs, needs for shelters, and help for homebound seniors.
Boston Singer’s Relief Fund

Supports New England-based singers whose classical performances were cancelled due to concerns over COVID-19.
Brandywine Health Foundation: Healthcare and Economic Relief Fund
Geographic Scope: Greater Coatsville area, PA
Will provide flexible resources to nonprofit organizations in the Greater Coatesville area serving the Coatesville Area School District geographic area including: City of Coatesville, Boroughs of Modena and South Coatesville, and the Townships of Caln, East Fallowfield, Sadsbury, Valley, West Brandywine, and West Caln. The Fund is designed to complement the work of public health, human service, and community economic development initiatives and the continuation or augmentation of services negatively impacted by all aspects of the outbreak as efficiently as possible.
Brooklyn Community Foundation: Brooklyn COVID-19 Response Fund
Geographic Scope: Brooklyn, NY
Will provide grants of up to $10,000 in the following priority areas: anti-stigma efforts to address anti-Asian harassment and discrimination, prevention measures (education, sanitary supplies) for vulnerable populations, practical needs in case of disruption in services to vulnerable populations, food access and practical supports, and support for workers to address lack of access to healthcare and paid sick leave, lack of proper safety equipment, and the economic impact of lost wages.
Cambridge Community Foundation

Launched two emergency funds to help families and individuals deal with the impact of COVID-19. The Cambridge COVID-19 Emergency Fund is available to individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits working directly with low-income populations. The Cambridge Artist Relief Fund supports artists and arts and cultural organizations facing a financial crisis.
City and County of Denver: Small Business Emergency Relief Program

Working on connecting the Denver business community to the most appropriate resources in the region. The first step is to describe the impact by filling out a questionnaire.
City and County of San Francisco: COVID-19 Small Business Resiliency Fund

Allows impacted business owners to access up to $10,000 for employee salaries & rent.
City of Chicago: Chicago Small Business Resiliency Fund
Geographic Scope: Chicago, IL
The City of Chicago is establishing a $100 million Chicago Small Business Resiliency Fund, which will help to provide small businesses with emergency cash flow during this immediate health crisis. Funds will be provided to eligible businesses as low-interest loans.
City of Los Angeles: Small Business Emergency Microloan Program

The Small Business Emergency Microloan Program provides financing needed to strengthen small business enterprises in this time of acute need that have been affected by COVID-19.
City of New York: New York City Employee Retention Grant Program
Geographic Scope: New York City, NY
The Employee Retention Grant Program aims to help small businesses retain employees as they face decreased revenue as a result of COVID-19. This program is available to New York City businesses with one to four employees that can demonstrate at least a 25% decrease in revenue as a result of COVID-19. Eligible businesses will receive a grant covering up to 40% of their payroll for two months, for up to $27,000.
City of San Diego: Small Business Relief Fund
Geographic Scope: The City of San Diego and the City of Chula Vista, CA
To help businesses be resilient amid the economic challenges of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the City of San Diego has established a Small Business Relief Fund to provide grants, loans, and other resources to businesses located in the City of San Diego and the City of Chula Vista. This fund is designed to provide economic relief + support job retention.
Cleveland Foundation: Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund
Geographic Scope: Cleveland, Ohio
The Cleveland Foundation’s COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund deploys resources to nonprofit organizations serving on the frontlines of the pandemic in Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties. Funding is provided to address the urgent health, basic human services and economic needs of disproportionately impacted communities and individuals.
Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina: COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund
Geographic Scope: Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Hampton, and Horry counties, South Carolina
The COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund will provide flexible resources to organizations in our region working with priority groups, including senior citizens, children, health-compromised, and workers in the hospitality and tourism industry in our service area of Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Hampton and Horry counties.
Community Foundation of Greater Flint and United Way of Genesee County: Greater Flint Urgent Relief Fund

The Greater Flint Urgent Relief Fund will award grants on a regular basis to nonprofits addressing gaps that are surfacing in key services for vulnerable community members.
Community Foundation of Greater Memphis: Mid-South COVID-19 Regional Response Fund
Geographic Scope: West Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, and northern Mississippi
The Mid-South COVID-19 Regional Response Fund provides flexible funding to organizations serving community members who have been impacted by novel coronavirus and the economic consequences of the pandemic in West Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, and northern Mississippi. In order to move resources quickly and not further burden organizations on the frontlines of the pandemic, the Foundation is not hosting a formal application process at this time. Nonprofit organizations can fill out a survey to give the Foundation an understanding of what they are seeing in the community.
Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin: COVID-19 Community Response Fund
Geographic Scope: North Central Wisconsin
Will provide flexible funding for organizations working in the Foundation’s community who are disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus and the economic consequences of the outbreak. This Fund is designed to expand local capacity to address the effects on individuals and families as a result of the outbreak as efficiently as possible.
Community Foundation of Northern Colorado: Northern Colorado COVID-19 Response Fund
Geographic Scope: Larimer County, Colorado
Will be distributed to nonprofit organizations throughout Larimer County through the course of the crisis. The goal is to move resources quickly and adapt to evolving needs.
Community Foundation of Marquette County: COVID-19 Community Response Fund
Geographic Scope: Marquette County, MI
Through this Fund, we are accepting requests for short-term funding to support operations of organizations that are struggling with immediate lost revenue and non-recoverable expenses due to COVID-19.
Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan: COVID-19 Response Fund
Geographic Scope: Orange and Sullivan counties, NY
Aims to address immediate and longer-term needs of residents in Orange and Sullivan counties. The Fund will issue grants to established nonprofit organizations that provide front-line services to the most vulnerable populations – food for the neediest families and essentials, such as prescription drug deliveries to homebound senior citizens and people with compromised immune systems.
Community Foundation of St. Clair County : COVID-19 Thumbcoast Regional Response Fund

Designed to give added support to those organizations on the front lines of caring for and assisting vulnerable populations, and those communities where the loss of jobs and benefits, or the closure of institutions and businesses, are creating a significant new burden for community members and the social service organizations that provide a safety net for them.
Community Foundation of Tampa Bay: COVID-19 Nonprofit Needs
Geographic Scope: The Five-County Region of Tampa Bay, FL
Not a competitive grant process. It is an innovative way to share specific needs with the Foundation, their fundholders, as well as other philanthropists in the Tampa Bay community. After completing the simplified Nonprofit Needs Request Form, the organization’s needs will be included within a database of requests from the community. If the nonprofit’s request is matched with a donation, the Foundation will notify the organization and transmit funds to address the request as quickly as possible.
Community Foundation of the Ozarks: COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund Grant Program
Geographic Scope: Central and Southern Missouri
Awards grants on an ongoing basis to agencies across the Foundation’s 58-county service area of central and southern Missouri. Current grantmaking priorities are for programs that serve vulnerable populations affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Community Foundation for Greater Richmond: Central Virginia COVID-19 Response Fund
Geographic Scope: Central Virginia
Aims to address the most immediate urgent needs, as well as the longer-term effects of the pandemic and community recovery in Central Virginia. One-time operating grants will help fund frontline human services organizations that have deep roots in the community and strong experience working with vulnerable populations. Funding will be provided to organizations located and operating in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady Counties. The committee will also consider supporting nonprofits operating in the surrounding counties of Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington. Providing support to nonprofit organizations and individuals in response to COVID-19. Mini-grants of up to $1,000 are available to assist nonprofit organizations with: costs associated with employees telecommuting (iPads, laptops); and video conferencing or virtual meeting platform subscriptions. Grants of up to $250 per individual are available for creative community service, such as small businesses that incur additional expenses as a result of offering free food, books to start a virtual neighborhood read, and care packages for older friends and neighbors.
Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque: Disaster Recovery Fund/COVID-19 Response Fund

Illinois COVID-19 Response Fund

Michigan Economic Development Corporation: Michigan Small Business Relief Program

NC Artists Relief Fund

Povides direct support to artists and arts presenters in North Carolina. Eligible applicants include musicians, visual artists, actors, DJ’s, dancers, teaching artists, filmmakers, comedians, and other creative individuals and arts presenters who are experiencing widespread cancellations due to this global pandemic.
New York Community Trust: NYC COVID-19 Response & Impact Fund

Otto Bremer Trust: Community Benefit Financial Company Emergency Fund

In response to COVID-19, the Otto Bremer Trust has established a $50 million emergency fund through its Community Benefit Financial Company subsidiary to provide financial support to Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Montana nonprofits and other community organizations impacted by and responding to the pandemic. The fund will provide resources in the form of short-term loans, lines of credit, and emergency grants.
Pittsburgh Foundation: Emergency Action Fund

Will address the immediate and long-term impacts of COVID-19 by providing funding in four areas: operating support for small and mid-sized nonprofit organizations (annual budgets under $5 million) serving communities with predominantly low-income households; organizations that manage emergency funds that provide direct financial assistance to individuals impacted by COVID-19; support for Federally Qualified Health Centers and other community health facilities; and small arts organizations (and individual artists) that have had to cancel productions.
Quad Cities Community Foundation: Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund

Provides support to organizations in Scott and Rock Island Counties after a disaster. Grants will be issued as part of the community’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support the effort to "flatten the curve" of COVID-19 infections in these counties by helping the community follow public health recommendations, and helping address the financial impact of following those recommendations.

United Way of Indian River County: COVID-19 Community Response Fund

Will provide working capital grants of $5,000 to small businesses in Oakland owned by very low-income individuals who have suffered financial loss due to the COVID-19 crisis.
